Alex Williams

Alex has been involved in the Activ8 Young Leaders programme and hopes to inspire others to become involved in the extra-curricular sports programme at her school. She is focusing on pupils who are not currently involved in sporting activities and is trying to find the best way to encourage them to become involved. Alex hopes to introduce two new sports activities and find teachers or coaches who would be willing to deliver the sports. Her favourite sport is ice-skating and she has been training for three years. She practices for two hours three times a week and is part of a 'figure skating club' which practices on Thursday nights. She has passed grades one to ten, gained three medals and achieved levels one and two. She is currently working towards level three and hopes to have this completed by the end of November.
