Alex Richardson

Alex Richardson supports his community in many ways, he's raised funds and awareness for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, he encourages colleagues he works with to volunteer and they've completed over 100 days this year, he's a steward at 'Race for Life' runs, he's raised funds and awareness for the Rockinghorse charity (respite care for sick children) and worked with schools as part of National School Sport Week.

The charity work for the Royal Marsden has been driven by the great work they have done to help his daughter during her struggles with a rare genetic childhood cancer. He was so inspired by their hard work in diagnosis that he set about raising funds towards research into a variety of cancer cures.

He's already done 2 marathons and 2 half marathons and he has plans for more, already raising over £7000 and making people aware of the work and support the Marsden give the community, from general nursing to support and research.

Alex Makes a Difference by using the inspiration of his daughter to undertake fundraising, get involved in his community, to try and give back to the community. CR
