Alex's nomination story

Alex is one of our senior physiotherapists within the Outpatient Physiotherapy Team at Southend Hospital NHS Trust. He is an inspirational leader, striving for excellence, motivating colleagues in all aspects of his work and personal life. He leads by example, encouraging team members to improve personal fitness as well as achieve greatness in their day-to-day professional lives. Alex has organised a team from the hospital to complete a grueling 24 hours endurance race, mud runs, and weekly competes in the physiotherapy department 5-a-side football team (to varying degrees of success!).

Alex is a true stalwart of the department, and is one of the nice guys. He represents all that is good about Southend Hospital NHS Trust, and the NHS in general. Without hard working and dependable individuals like Alex, the NHS would be a very different place to be in as a patient or as an employee.
