Alan Stapleton

Alan is Youth worker at a church in Bilton, Rugby where he works tirelessly to serve well over one hundred youths who he comes into contact with weekly while running clubs and leading activities. From leading sponsored walking trips up Snowdon, taking groups of teenagers to run camps for underprivileged children in Poland, to sitting down and comforting an individuals whose parents have thrown them out, Alan never shows anything less than total dedication. As a result he is genuinely loved by scores of young people in Bilton and Rugby who respect and appreciate his efforts. He is one of those rare individuals of whom it can be truly said that were he not around, there would be a massive hole in the lives of so many. Finally, as a keen sportsman carrying the Torch would be a delight and much deserved honour for him.
