Alan Power

Alan is the chairperson of the Swanage and Purbeck Hospitality Association and has been in this post for the last five years. During this time he has guide the association to its current position as the foremost business organisation in the area, recognised and respected by both the community and local government bodies. He has led the way for various festivals, celebrations and entertainments to promote the area in the run-up to the Olympics and to establish legacies to benefit the Isle of Purbeck long after the main Olympic and Paralympic events have passed. These include an annual Walking Festival, a bi-annual Comedy Festival, and a Swanage Marathon.

Alan deserves to be part of the local Olympic celebrations and to be honoured by carrying the Olympic in recognition for his commitment and dedication to the Isle of Purbeck, for the care he shows for the local businesses and inhabitants and as a way we can say thank you to him for his work.
