Alan Lane

Alan has been involved in Scouting for 50 years. He has spread happiness while teaching children (6 and up+) to establish personal skills.I have been passionate other the last 50 years and will continue to support the youth in Scouting sharing my successes and awards such as - Silver Acorn and Bar Jack Petchey Outstanding Leader Award and the Mayor's Community Award. For 20 years I have been assisting with Arthritis Care in transporting and helping at monthly meetings which I will continue. Additionally as a keen runnner with Belgrave Harriers I have mentored and trained younger runners to complete personal goals such as the London Marathon. At my local church I'm a server at the 8am service for the last 10 years performing many duties and my dream to run with the torch will inspire others to get actively involved with community pursuits.
