(Commercial S & W Wales DJ Davies Fuels) After personally organising a draw within our company to be considered for nominations as TB it was to the staffs amusement that my name was drawn from the hat. This I consider to be an honour. As MD, I lead a busy lifestlye with family and business being at the forefront of my priorities. In addition I keep active and fit by being a member of the local underwater Hockey Team for over 30 years. This involves teaching and coaching the sport to people of both genders and all walks of life from 12 years old to upwards of 60. being a non contact sport makes it ideal to have mixed gender and age. I find it very satisfying to see teenagers taking part and most important wishing to attend regularly without prompting. A culturla role I have adopted is being president of Llandybie Male Voice choir for the last 9 yrs. My various business activities resulted in the developmentof 15 turbine wind farm acting as founder and local coordinator. My direct actions have resulted in the formation of a community benefit fund for the Amman Valley with a value if £5m over the life of the wind farm to be spent directly on recreation, education, culture, energy, efficiency, health and environment.
