Aimee's nomination story

In 2010 Aimee made a real difference at South Holderness Secondary School by volunteering 6-7 hours per week in both the school and within a community setting. Aimee dedicated many hours to starting up and running a girls football team for Preston AFC with roles including advertising for the new team, delivering weekly training sessions and then entering the team in the local U12 Girls Football league. Aimee has also assisted the school in a number of activities including refereeing, assisting in PE lessons and as a coach/leader and has excellent communication skills when dealing with both the young people and their parents.

Overall Aimee is a confident, dynamic young coach/volunteer who is willing to give her time freely in order to develop her team. She does not hesitate when putting something back into the sport

Aimee was the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Sport & Play Development Service Junior Volunteer of the Year earlier this year and achieved over 180 hours on the Step into Sport Programme.
