Aileen Goymer / Davidson

Aileen is one of Aberdeen's many unsung heros who quietly devote their time to making their community and their city a better place. Working in illydrone, one of the cities most deprived areas, Aileen has established a group for men aged 26 and over who are recovering from drug addiction. Aileen recognised that there was a gap in provision in the area and that many men in this age bracket who had given up drugs often returned to using as there was not enough help and support for them. M26 runs a range of activities including creating a vegetable patch from scratch and donating the produce people in need in the local community.
