Aidan comes from a troubled background. Between 11 and 15 years, Aidan was involved in drugs, badly behaved and truanting from school. Aged 12 he was convicted of street robbery.

In the last 3 years Aidan has shown considerable strength of character in turning his life around. He was given responsibility as a senior member of the youth club. At 16, he become a volunteer at the club for four evening sessions, doing extra hours and weekends during holidays.

In June 2010 Aidan secured employment as a behaviour support worker at his old school. He has excelled in this role, was given extra responsibility and is now assistant year leader.

Since Aidan decided to turn his life around, he has demonstrated a caring attitude, making a significant contribution to improving the lives of others, supporting and inspiring those in similar circumstances to his own to make positive changes in their lives. CR
