Adrian is a father of two children. He is my daughter's partner. My daughter is a teacher. Adrian has always been mad about any sport and played for Tredegar Town football team until he broke his leg 5 years ago. Two years ago he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. He was desperately ill on a life support system for six week at the Heath Hospital Cardiff. He developed many complications but has survived and is in remission. Due to his illness he has had to change occupations. He now works part-time for Age Concern and also does one day voluntary work at the Heath Hospital, Cardiff. Adrian is a lifelong Liverpool fan. When he was diagnosed with his illness his children were aged four years and three months respectively, so they have also had a tough time. We would all be very proud if he were selected - especially all the staff at the Heath Hospital and all his friends who have given him so much support. Quite simply Adrian deserves some good luck!
