Adam is a looked after child who has been on a full care order since he was ten years old. Despite an early start that had some extreme difficulties with family dynamics he has remained focused and determined to make something of his life. He is currently waiting to start at university and has achieved well so far. I feel he is an inspiration to other looked after children and is living proof that a background in care does not have to equal a future of under achieving. I also feel he offers inspiration to those of us that have supported Adam as its young people like Adam that remind us that working for a charity such as ours does make a difference to some of its service users. Adam is also a very keen sportsman and has used sport to help him deal with the difficult times, he once told me that his main sport of rugby allows him to take life's frustrations and turn them into something positive, taking a negative and turning it round is again I feel all inspiring
