Adam Airlie

(Commercial West of Scotland Consarc Engineering Ltd). Adam is the son of our service manager and he has competed with Cumbernauld swimming club since he was 9 years old winning numerous medals at west district level and settng new records. A few months ago, Adam lost his mum Geraldine after a brave fight with cancer. During her illness, Adam continued competing and even won a school prize during his first year at high school. Since his mum died Adam has been actively involved in fundraising with his dad to raise money for Marie Curie hospice at Balarnock Road, Glasgow. This charity took fantastic care of Gerladine in her final weeks and gave great support to them all. Adam and Andy's most recent endeavor was a sponsored climb of Ben Lomond, where they released 46 balloons (one for each year of Geraldines life). They raised over £5K and they are already planning their next fundraising event!
