Abi's nomination story

Abi has been involved in volleyball in Suffolk since an early age. She has continued to help with officiating games ever since, eventually acting as a line judge and first-scorer at National League and Cup level from 2008 to 2010. These are high-pressure roles, which she performed admirably and, as such, she has a great sense of fair play. She is always willing to help set up Stowmarket Volleyball Club's equipment and help with tournaments and fundraisers. More recently she has been acting as the Suffolk Volleyball Association's proofreader. Away from volleyball Abi also helps out at the Museum of East Anglian Life, operating a Victorian printing press, making souvenirs for visitors on open days. In summary, Abi is a very helpful young girl who always does the best she can. She was awarded the Suffolk Volleyball Association Young Volunteer of The Year for 2009-10, but this is not nearly enough recognition for all she does. I hope that she keeps up the good work, remains involved in volleyball for many more years and goes on to bigger and better things!
