Abbie's nomination story

Abbie has always been passionate about sport and from family stories my energy levels drove my parents crazy This continued throughout school, one particular weekend I swam, cycled, ran and played football for the county.

The only option was traithlon where Abbie could swim, cycle &run and it was just one sport!

Abbie is age 24 originating from Ipswich. Abbie attended Kesgrave High School for GCSE'S and A Levels & studied at the University of Essex and graduated with a degree in Sports & Exercise Science. Since graduating in 2008 Abbie has been training as a full time athlete, basing herself at the National Triathlon Performance centre in Loughborough.

Abbie has represented Great Britain on a yearly basis since the age of 14. Triathlon honours include being crowned National Champion and representing Great Britain at European Championships, World Championships, World Cups and most recently World Cup series events.

During her earlier sporting career Abbie achieved National level at swimming and cycling events. Being crowned National youth and junior time trial champion on a number of occasions. Abbie was also a very keen footballer and captained both her school to county champions and was a regular member of the county team.

Since becoming a full-time athlete Abbie has had her sights set on representing team GB at the Olympics and reaching the top of her sport. CR
