Yorkshire man Aaron is 26 and has amazing determination and optimism in dealing with cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening inherited disease which affects his lungs and digestive system. Just two years after qualifying as a doctor, a great achievement itself, he has now qualified as a surgeon and is the first person in England with Cystic Fibrosis to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Aaron has managed to achieve this despite his condition, which requires a tough daily treatment regime including taking dozens of pills, inhaled and intravenous drugs and physiotherapy and frequent hospital stays. Aaron's refusal to let his illness dominate his life has inspired many people and he would be a fantastic person to carry the Olympic Torch.
