Aaron's nomination story

Aaron was 10 years old when he was knocked off his bike while playing with friends and was air-lifted to hospital with an acquired brain injury. He was in intensive care and the prognosis if he survived was permanent brain damage and possible paralysis. Luckily Aaron survived the trauma and showed endless determination to be up and about as quickly as he could. Nothing phased him and during his numerous physio sessions he always wanted to do more than was required. He lost the hearing in his right ear and has minor effects of his acquired brain injury but his positive attitude throughout was an inspiration to us all. Aaron now has the ability to try anything and not worry what anybody thinks of him. He managed to achieve his karate black one year after his accident, now plays for a local football team, is taking part in the school play and is a member of the Sea Cadets. I am sure there will be many worthy nominations but hope you will consider Aaron who is the 'shining light' in our lives.
