Local children sow the seeds for Olympic Park

Over 40 children from an east London school have today helped to create a nature reserve for the Olympic Park, along the banks of the River Lea at East Marsh.
Museum of London archaeologists have uncovered the skeletons of early Eastenders buried in graves dating back to the Iron Age on the London 2012 Olympic Park.
The opportunity to create a ‘green beacon’ for London was showcased to the construction industry today as the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) held an industry day for the contract to design and construct a wind turbine on the Olympic Park site.
The ODA announced that world leading landscape architects LDA Design • Hargreaves Associates has been selected to design the Olympic Park for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will become a new kind of park promoting sustainable and active living.
The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) today announced a world-class shortlist of contractors bidding to manage the landscaping of the northern section of the London 2012 Olympic Park, which will be one of the largest new urban parks in Europe for 150 years.
Early start for Olympic Stadium construction

The construction of the Olympic Stadium will start by the end of May – three months ahead of schedule, the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has confirmed today.
Robert the Engine to be temporarily moved

Robert the Engine, the 80-year-old locomotive outside Stratford Regional Station, will be moved on Sunday to allow preparations for construction for the next phase of work to upgrade the front of Stratford Regional Station.

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) today reinforced its vision to stage a ‘Games for the Digital Age’ in 2012 by announcing that BT has become the latest Tier One Partner of the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has today announced that only sustainable timber will be used during the construction of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues and infrastructure.
