The Olympic Delivery Authority has delivered on the 10 milestones it planned to achieve by July 2009.
In July 2008 the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) set out 10 milestones that it planned to achieve by 27 July 2009 - three years from the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
They marked the first phase of construction on the London 2012 venues and infrastructure - 'the big build: foundations' phase of the project. These milestones, listed below, right, were achieved by 3 July 2009.

In April 2007 the ODA announced 10 milestones that it would achieve by the time of the Beijing 2008 Games.
These earlier milestones focused on preparing the site for the main construction of the venues and infrastructure for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the legacy beyond 2012. This phase was known as ‘demolish, dig, design’.

Details about the new Energy Centre planned in Kings Yard on the western edge of the Olympic Park.
Items from the Iron Age and Bronze Age through to World War II have been found on the Olympic Park site.
