
The Countdown Clock on Trafalgar Square in central London ticks over to show just 200 days until 4,200 athletes from over 140 countries will be gathering for the largest Paralympic Games ever.
The London 2012 Organising Committee today announced that the under 16s Volunteer Performer Cast for the Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies will be selected from schools in the six east London Host Boroughs.<br/><br/>Danny Boyle, Olympic Games Opening Ceremony Artistic Director, recently paid a visit to Colegrave Primary School in Newham, one of the <a href="http://getset.london2012.com/en/home">Get Set </a>schools selected to audition for the London 2012 Ceremonies.<br/><br/><br/>

The first orientation training event for 10,000 London 2012 Games Maker volunteers and Games-time employees took place this morning at Wembley Arena in London. <br/><br/>The event was the first of six national orientation events on 4, 5 and 18 February which will form the biggest London 2012 events outside of the Games this year.
