
175 elite athletes from 30 nations competed at one of the first competitive events at the Lee Valley White Water Centre, the London 2012 Canoe Slalom venue. The event was part of the London Prepares series, testing arrangements for the Olympic event next year.
Lee Valley White Water Centre, the only brand new London 2012 venue that the public can use and enjoy ahead of the Games, has opened today. Lee Valley will host the Canoe Slalom competition during next year's Olympic Games, hosting five days of action across four events.
