
The latest set of giant Olympic Rings has been unveiled on the entrance to the Channel Tunnel in France.<br/><br/>The Rings have been <a href="http://www.london2012.com/news/2011/12/giant-olympic-rings-unveiled-at-channel-tunnel-entrance.php">placed at the entrance of the Tunnel</a> in Coquelles in northern France. One of the world's most recognisable symbols, they will be seen by hundreds of thousands of fans who are travelling on Eurostar trains to St Pancras International.<br/><br/>

BBC Radio 1 has announced plans to hold the BBC's largest ever free-ticketed music event as part of the London 2012 Festival.<br/><br/>Taking place on 23 –24 June 2012 at Hackney Marshes, ‘BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend 2012’ will feature local stars Leona Lewis and Plan B among 80 international and UK acts performing on six BBC stages.<br/><br/>Lewis and Trevor Nelson are among the local ambassadors to champion the event, and will be involved in the related programme of outreach activity.<br/>
