"The Red Diamond Club is a sports club for disabled people of all ages covering the Wokingham and Bracknell area. The club formed back in 1976, we have over 100 members. We are a charity and fundraise to support our members to enjoy a variety of sports and to be able to compete agains other sports clubs for people with disabilities both locally and in the south of England. Our members enjoy weekly swimming sessions, table tennis, snooker and socialising with a cup of tea afterwards. Its is great to see disabled people achieve, enjoy, make friends, have fun and gain confidence in our club. We also have social trips, fun events and sometimes weekends and holidays away with sporting activities. It would be a real honour to our club to have members take part in this once in a life time experience of torch bearing for the 2012 Paralympics. Thank you for giving our club this opportunity."
