"Despite being disabled herself, Patricia Marjoram runs a local art group for the Society for Disabled Artists (SODA), is editor of the national SODA magazine and runs an annual art holiday for the disabled. Now over 80, she has worked for the local community all her life and been heavily involved as a leader in the Girl Guide movement in her younger days before becoming involved with disabled artists. She is a survivor having coped with more than her fair share of illnesses and accidents. This includes TB in her early twenties, falling down a mountain & needing a permanent screw in her heel, traction for a slipped disc, a Laparotomy, breast cancer & a Mastectomy. She now has a pacemaker on walfarin & requiring a stick. This has never let her stop helping others - a real inspiration. "
