"I´m a mother of a disabled daughter, engaged as a local coach and mentor for the mentally disabled team in my Rowing Club in Berlin. I fight for my mentally disabled team to get the same options as the non-disabled training teams. My vision is the gold medal for my mentally handicapped team hopefully in Rio 2016. I got my inspiration through a great idea some years ago. The new rules of Rowing became headlined in 2004, the German LTA4+ boat hadn´t enough female newcomers, so I decide to pick up rowing to save the German LTA 4+ boat. My personal support showed results, and we made the fourth position at the world rowing championship out of 11 nations."
