"Although I have a disability, which is a rare form of muscular dystrophy since birth, this was not diagnosed until I was 4 years old. It has never interfered with the goals I`ve wanted to achieve throughout my life. I`ve attended mainstream school, I`ve been in employment from school and driving since I was 17. Sport has been a great inspiration in my life, since joining Dovedale Flyers back in 1983. I`ve competed in many sports but specialising in athletics and table tennis with achievements at national level. Becoming a coach and committee member in the 90`s then elected chairman in 2004. This was extremely important to me, as encouraging others coming through the club and giving them the expertise that I`ve gained over the years, brings tremendous satisfaction when they achieve their goals and continuing the legacy of the club."
