"Kristina would be an excellent choice as one of the team of torch bearers for the London 2012 Paralympics because she is a fantastic role model for disabled people of all ages. Kristina is a disabled person who runs her own successful training consultancy, working particularly with young disabled people and those who support them. She has also been a successful Paralympian, having been a member of the GB wheelchair basketball team. Kristina is very active in her local community in Seaford, East Sussex, where she co-runs Seaford Family Focus Group and has been responsible for designing and maintaining their website. The primary aim of the group is to initiate events and projects that will bring together local residents, and to welcome anyone interested in joining in to help run a wide range of activities. Kristina initiates and often organises the group's very popular calendar of events."
