"John has been a BP driver at Hamble since 2000. He delivers fuel across the South of England. John treats everyone with respect and courtesy, and I imagine he`s welcomed at all the forecourts he delivers to. John started running in 1997 at the age of 40 when he noticed middle-age spread was trying to get the better of him. A few months later he completed the London Marathon. In 2010 he completed the 6 day 243km/151 mile Marathon des Sables race across the Sahara desert in Morocco, and raised thousands of pounds for Help for Heroes in the process. John`s enthusiasm for running has inspired several of his colleagues to actively take up the sport. They train together and travel the country to compete in long distance running events"
