"I am passionate about young people being ""the Best they can be"" regardless of physical or intellectual ability. I believe Athletics is a great inclusive sport for everyone at various levels. Most people can find an area in running, throwing, or jumping where they can succeed. It is great to compete firstly (and always!) against yourself, raise confidence and skills and continue into festivals and then competitions at many different levels. In over 25 years of teaching PE in schools, I have witnessed many young people with no self-belief or with adverse physical or intellectual abilities, become successful in a particular area of Athletics. This success has a ripple effect on other areas and can be life-changing! I constantly challenge the young people I work with to improve their skills and confidence and strive to help them be ""the Best they can be"""
