"I trained as a dancer in my youth, but after being diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis as a teenager I decided to put my spirit in motion by concentrating on the positives of life and celebrating achievements rather than giving up at a difficult hurdle. To remember that winning a marathon starts with a small step. I may not be faster than many people, I may not be the first to achieve new heights but I consider myself stronger in determination than some people. I am a good listener and an avid supporter of people, to encourage others and to help to make a difference is my passion. I hope that I have sparked someone to realise that nothing is impossible, the journey to your goal is always there, it`s just sometimes we need to take a different route."
