Goolmohr's nomination story

"I love people and will help and care for any one. I am a proud grandmother and have fun with children. I volunteer in a school, a hospice and for age UK. Older people love my visits and company, and say I open up a new happy world for them. I cheer them up.. At school, I guide little children to use computers. I am very fit, enthusiastic, go to the gym and do the cancer research race for life each year. I am studying for my B.A degree and hope to graduate this summer. My husband suffered a stroke in 2009, became paralysed with complications. After hospital, he preferred being home; so I brought him home and performed all sorts of nursing tasks 24/7, including feeding him through a nose tube. Alas, he died in May last year. I would be honoured to bear the Paralympic Torch."
