"Elliot joined Jump Space as a shy 11 year old with Aspergers. He sturggles with coping with this and finds it hard to fit in. He wants to be the same as every other teenager, but struggles to read social situations and in his struggle to gain friends often ends up the victim of bullies. He had to move school 18 months ago because the bullying became so bad he became depressed and suicidal. He is also incredibly body concious and cannot understnd that puberty changes his body shape. In the last 12 months he expressed an interest in becoming a young leader. Which he begins in April 2012. He constantly strives to improve himself and to help others. He will become a fantastic young leader and the opportunity to become a torch bearer will boost his confidence and self belief immeasurably."
