David's nomination story

"For the past 4 years, David has been a governor at Meath School, a charity run primary school for children with severe and complex speech, language and communication needs. He regularly attends the school to monitor teaching standards, to review any issues, and to discuss long term strategy of the school. He also leads the health and safety committee. Through this time he has supported the schools fundraising efforts which are vital to keep the school going, including manning numerous school fetes, volunteering one day a year to the summer holiday programme and supporting other fundraising initiatives. Ofsted has inspected the school in both 07/08 and 10/11 and both times the school was recognised as 'Outstanding'."
