Bronwen's nomination story

"Elizabeth`s Legacy of Hope: This is a charity set up after a terrible accident. My daughter who was two lost her right leg and my mother (Elizabeth) died. I was crushed under the bus. We set up the charity to provide prosthetic limbs to amputees in developing countries. It is entirely voluntary and my team on the charity work endlessly, campaigning and raising money. We have funded our first two projects in Tanzania. It became unacceptable to my sister and myself that thousands of children in the world do not have access to prosthetic limbs like Pollyanna my daughter. My friends on the charity help us to help them and it is incredible what they have achieved. My son has raised enough money to provide 351 amputees with a new limb. Their determination to help others less fortunate than themselves holds no boundaries and this has resulted in us being able to look at setting up a limb clinic in Haiti, as well as other places."
