"I was employed as a support assistant at Highbury special school for 26 years, working with children with multiple problems. I trained as a lifeguard to enable our children to access the hydrotherapy pool. Over a number of years I was a respite carer for 2 boys both wheelchair users. I take out a autistic young man and have done for 12 years, to enable him to have a social life and some degree of independence. I am now retired but help in the hydrotherapy pool weekly, also weekly I attend our local primary school to help pupils to improve their reading skills . All these I find very rewarding."
