Argyle's nomination story

When I realised I had a disability I wanted to get involved in disability sports as I didn`t want it to stop me. I enjoyed it so much I wanted to show others they could take part too. I now help fundraise for my wheelchair basketball club and encourage other disabled people to come along and try. I have also been elected on my school sports council and am helping to organise some Paralympic sports days at several local primary schools and my high school. I have been asked to take the lead as they have said I`m a great role model and can get disabled and able bodied people involved. My teachers and school friends say they look at disabled people differently since they have met me. I strongly believe that having a disability doesn`t end your life it just takes you on a new and different adventure.
