"I have had MS for over 20 years but while it has slowly become worse, I have done more and more. I am engaged in disability voluntary work advising charities, speaking at events, writing and training. I have had the honour of seeing some of my ideas take shape, a special inclusion religious service, fully accessible, independent living homes and care centre, inclusive design, initiatives around disability and sexuality. I have pushed my own social and professional boundaries, parachuting from 10000ft co-creating and performing wheelchair burlesque cabaret and reward is to hear that my passions and beliefs have led other people to realise and believe in their own potential to challenge and make fairer life in their worlds too. I have found that staying in the mix and in touch with life does make things happen and makes a difference."
