As the Paralympic Flame travels from Stoke Mandeville to the Stadium, carried by teams of five Torchbearers each nominated for demonstrating the Paralympic Values of courage, determination, equality and inspiration, it takes in some of the cities most iconic landmarks.

As all eyes turn to the village of Stoke Mandeville in Buckinghamshire, where the 24-hour Paralympic Torch Relay will begin at 8pm tonight, we take a look at the build-up to the London 2012 Paralympic Games over the last few days.

Celebrations are being held in Edinburgh today following the lighting of a cauldron using the Scottish National Flame, which was lit at the top of Ben Nevis by Scouts.

A celebration cauldron was lit in Trafalgar Square in London this morning using the English National Flame created by Scouts at Scafell Pike, England’s highest peak. The Flame is visiting several London landmarks over the course of the day, including the Houses of Parliament.
