In the first set Ukraine raced to a 6-0 lead before Great Britain got their game together. But some good blocking at the net from Ilona Yudina of Ukraine pushed them further in front and they took the first set 25-9.

Ukraine continued their dominance early in the second set as they opened up an eight-point gap to lead 16-8 at the second technical timeout.

Great Britain were committing errors but after falling 20-10 behind they rallied to reduce the deficit to just five. However, the world number three side reasserted their superiority with some great play and eventually took a much closer set 25-20.

In the final set Ukraine's power at the net was again too much for the Host Nation, helping them establish a 19-6 lead. Despite a mini-resurgence from Great Britain, Ukraine were comfortable winners, 25-14.
