The Australian women's Singles - Class 10 player beat Bruna Alexandre of Brazil 3-2 in the final Group B preliminary game.
She will next take on Natalia Partyka of Poland in the semi-finals and said she had wanted to play her for some time.
Tapper said: 'Oh, my God, that was unbelievable. I had a slow start but I got through so it's all right.
'I get to play Natalia now. I've never played her and I've been hanging out to have a match against her. Even if I get my butt whipped, I don't care. I'll get the experience of playing against her and I'll give it a good shot.
'She's amazing. I'm not going to give her that respect on the court, but at the same time I think I'll be able to enjoy myself a bit more in that match, rather than stressing myself out like I did for the last one.'
