Rowing will take place at Dorney Lake during the London 2012 GamesAn existing eight-lane venue is being enhanced with a new bridge to help spectators access viewing areas.
The competition lane and the return lane are being linked by a new strip of water allowing athletes to move between the two lakes more easily. A road leading up to the venue is also being upgraded to improve access for construction vehicles working on site.
After the Games, Dorney Lake will continue to provide world-class training and competition facilities.

The contract for the enhancement works is expected to be awarded in early 2009, with works due to start on site later in 2009.
