During the Games, Drapers Field will operate 24 hours a day as an Operations Support Area (VOSA).
This area will primarily be used to store items for the Olympic and Paralympic Village, such as bed linen, towels, soaps and shampoos.
To support this activity, access to Leyton Road will be restricted during the Games. There will be no access into Leyton Road from Windmill Lane and Alma Street and there will be no access from Great Eastern Road into Angel Lane. A vehicle permit system will be implemented to ensure that access into Leyton Road is maintained for residents and businesses.
London 2012 has developed these plans in partnership with the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Following the Games, Drapers Field will be returned to the Borough and reinstated for community use. This will include a fully reinstated landscape with improved sports pitches and play facilities, and refurbishments to the existing pavilion.
