Vietnam made their Paralympic Games debut in Sydney in 2000 when Nguyen Thi Xuan ANH competed in the women's 800m and Truong CONG HUNG competed in powerlifting. In 2008, Vietnam sent an all-female team competing in athletics, powerlifting and swimming. No Vietnamese athlete has won a Paralympic medal.
