Rwanda made their Paralympic Games debut in 2000 in Sydney where they were represented by swimmer Cesar RWAGASANA. In 2004 Jean de dieu NKUNDABERA won a bronze medal in the men's 800m, but failed to advance out of the heats in 2008.
