Norway have participated in every edition of both the Summer and Winter Paralympics, except the second Summer Games in 1964. Two Winter Paralympic Games have been held in Norway (1980 in Geilo, 1994 in Lillehammer) and they have some of the world's most successful Winter Paralympians of all time. Cato ZAHL PEDERSEN represented Norway at both the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games - in 1980, he entered four events in athletics, three in alpine skiing and one in cross-country skiing, and won gold in all seven events. He has gone on to win 14 medals (13 gold, one silver). Erling TRONDSEN has won 20 medals in swimming (13 gold, six silver, one bronze).
