Highlights
Malaysia made their Paralympic Games debut in 1972 in Heidelberg when they sent three athletes to compete in athletics and weightlifting. They missed the next three Games before returning at Seoul 1988. Their all-time medal count of five includes one silver and four bronze. Siow Lee CHAN was both Malaysia's first female medallist and the first of either gender in 16 years to have won a Paralympic medal, with her bronze in powerlifting.
