Indonesia made their Paralympic Games debut in 1976 in Toronto, with athletes entered in athletics, lawn bowls, swimming and table tennis. They have competed in every Games since their debut except for 1992. Their all-time total of 17 Paralympic medals includes four gold, four silver and nine bronze. The first two gold medals were won in 1976 in men's precision javelin and men's singles in lawn bowls. Since their absence from the Games of 1992, Indonesia have not won a Paralympic medal.
