Highlights
Denmark made their Paralympic Games debut in 1968 in Tel Aviv with a team of eight athletes in two sports (swimming and table tennis). They have competed in every Paralympic Games since, winning 287 medals. In 1976, Denmark won their first ever medals when Jorn NIELSEN won three golds in athletics. Their most successful Paralympic athletes are Ingrid LAURIDSEN and Connie HAUNSEN in athletics, and Anders CHRISTENSEN in swimming.
