Côte d'Ivoire first competed at the Paralympic Games in 1996. Their four Paralympic medals (three gold, one bronze) have all been won in athletics by two athletes. Oumar BASAKOULBA KONE won his three gold medals in 1996 (400m, 800m) and in 2000 (800m), while Fernand KRA KOFFI won a bronze medal in 2000 (800m)
