The People's Republic of China first competed at the Paralympic Games in 1984 in New York. Their all-time Paralympic medal count is 552 (231 gold, 187 silver, 134 bronze). They had a delegation of 332 (197 men, 135 women) at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
